Welcome to grade 1! Grade 1 is a very exciting time when all students grow and learn with such enthusiasm. I am so happy to be part of their learning journeys. I am looking forward to working with your child this year and helping him/her to achieve his/her full potential. Once again, I encourage you to contact me if you have any questions or concerns at any time. The best time to reach me by telephone is before and after school or you can leave a message on the school voicemail and I will return your call. You may email me at anytime at [email protected] and I will email you back as soon as possible. Thank you, in advance for your concern and support throughout this school year!
Agendas
Everyday your child will bring home his/her agenda in his/her
backpack. As I will discuss with the students, it is his or her job to
take the agenda to you as a parent and look over what they completed this week
and what is expected of him/her in the near future. The agenda is their
personal calendar where they will pencil in important dates such as: field
trips, Scholastic Book Order and assignment due dates, hot dog days, etc. This
is also a very good communication tool for parents and teachers to write notes
or reminders in the agenda. It is recommended that you encourage your child to
hand in their agenda with the notes sent from home, as the agendas are not
checked on a daily basis. The front pocket can also be used to carry important
letters and completed work to and from school.
Classroom Rules
1. Follow directions quickly
2. Raise your hand if you need to speak
3. Stay inside your personal bubbly
4. Make green light choices
5. Make your dear class happy
